DANA HUDSON
THEATRE PRODUCER
Dana started producing while working as a Co-Founder of Ethereal Theatre Company, founded in 2016. Since founding Ethereal Theatre, she has worked on over ten productions across a variety of theatre genres including Musical Theatre revivals, original musicals, original plays and Shakespeare. Her work with Ethereal Theatre has garnered 5* reviews and sold out performances. Dana is passionate about overseeing projects from initial concept, right through to closing night. Dana now works as an freelance producer, working primarily as a Producer for theatre companies, most recently for the UK Tour of the critically acclaimed show ‘Ruckus’ by Jenna Fincken. Dana has also supported producer Adrian Grant on ‘I’m Every Woman: The Chaka Khan Musical Workshop’ and for Sound Play Productions’ ‘Sound Clash; Death In The Arena’, conceived by Levi Roots.
Dana strives to provide a platform for emerging artists both on and off-stage to promote social change by producing original, untold stories. She aspires to create the best productions possible for nationwide audiences and to increase inclusivity and representation in theatre by challenging current theatrical and societal convention.
Dana also provides producing consultancy services.
In 2022, Dana was a recipient of the Arts Council England’s Develop Your Creative Practise grant and in 2023 wrote the successful Under 30K Project Grant application for Moving Stories’ Measure for Measure.
Dana is a successful Director and Choreographer, achieving positive praise for her work on Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Little Shop of Horrors.
She has a degree in Drama and Creative Writing from Royal Holloway University of London.
