Ethereal Theatre present a new revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Premiering at Cockpit Theatre, London ahead of transferring to theSpace UK @ Surgeon’s Hall as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this new late-night spectacle inspired by Dante’s Inferno.

With direction from Marc Zayat - ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, ‘Sleeping Dogs Lie’ and choreography by Dana Hudson - ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, ‘Bring It On’, ‘RENT’ and Musical Direction and additional arrangement by Benjamin Dovey.

Synopsis:

Sweeney Todd returns to London having been unjustly exiled by the evil Judge Turpin. Now hailing as the Demon Barber, Sweeney swears vengeance against the Judge. Coaxed by the whispered words of the ensemble, Todd forms a sinister partnership with Mrs Lovett. Todd's thirst for blood inspires the addition of a secret ingredient into Lovett’s meat pies that has the people of London lining up for more. Inspired by Dante’s Inferno, Ethereal Theatre returns to the fringe with an iconic musical where Todd’s bloodthirsty world will come alive in a late-night spectacle.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will be at theSpace UK @ Surgeon’s Hall from the 3rd to the 18th August 2018 at 22:30.
